CW 37: Homemade Lemonade
When life gives you lemons...
The end of summer is approaching and the perfect drink to cool down and relax is some freshly made lemonade. By accident I found a great recipe for homemade lemonade. I had some extra lemons lying around in my fridge and while I was waiting for my pizza dough to rest I decided to make some ice cubes out of them, so I squeezed out two lemons and added some sparkling water until I got a nice taste. Then I had the brilliant idea to add some sugar - this was probably how the inventor of lemonade must have felt like. After a few spoonfuls of sugar - yes that was absolutely a Mary Poppins reference - I had the perfect combination of sour and sweet and had accidently just found a super easy and quick recipe for a nice half litre of homemade lemonade.
So, in these last days,
whenever I had some spare time while waiting for my lunch or dinner I quickly
squeezed out some lemon juice and had a quick sweet drink for my meal.
Recipe
- 100ml lemon juice (approx. 2 lemons)
- 400ml sparkling water
- 4tsp sugar
Squeeze the lemons and mix the juice - not O.J. - with the sparkling water. Add sugar and have a taste. Tastes good? Enjoy!
... or sell it and make a fortune
