CW 9: COVID rapid tests
Disclaimer: delayed entry (so I'm trying to remember what I was thinking back then)
Ok now, it's not that I like doing COVID tests. It's not particularly pleasant when someone sticks a swab in your nose and fiddles around in there. But, since I was meeting friends more often ('cause I was going insane without social contacts) we were responsible and got tested before meeting. Also, when going home to see my family I didn't want to risk anything. So since the rapid tests are really - guess what? - rapid, and taking a test only takes a maximum of 20 minutes I really made use of the offer we had and still have in Vienna. In the end I got tested at least once a week. They opened a testing station in one of the wings of the Schönbrunn castle and that is really quite nice. One of the most beautiful spots in Vienna and you get to get tested there for free - what a life.
Not only do you feel like a super responsible citizen, but also you get to chill in a super nice waiting room with beautiful chandeliers and a marvelous view over the gardens of the Schönbrunn palace.
Now (6 weeks later): I am in Stockholm where there is no such thing as these super easy rapid testing stations and I brought 28 rapid COVID tests from Vienna in case I needed them. You might wonder where I got them from. Well, we get them for free at the pharmacies and so I stocked up hehe
